MIKAYLA MOORE RACING
About Mikayla...
Mikayla Moore, a 20-year-old passionate and accomplished professional motorcycle road racer, took part in the Royal Enfield 2024 Build.Train.Race. (BTR) Road Race Program, where she achieved the title of two-time champion. This initiative focused on teaching women to build and race their own motorcycles, RE Continental GT 650. The program aimed to highlight women in motorcycle culture in North America by bringing together riders from diverse backgrounds to compete in various track events in MotoAmerica.
Mikayla's passion for motorcycles began when she learned how to ride a Yamaha TT-R50 dirt bike at the age of 6 in 2010. This ignited her love for two wheels, and she entered her first race at Sandy Hook Speedway in 2011, when she was just 7 years old. In 2014, she attended a 3-day camp with New Jersey MiniGP (NJ MiniGP) to improve her riding skills. The camp incorporated drills her father had used to train her and her brother, and her father eventually became a coach with NJ MiniGP.
Throughout her racing journey, Mikayla participated in races organized by various organizations, including Sandy Hook Mini Moto, the Herrin Compound, NJ MiniGP and DMV MiniGP. In 2016, she had the opportunity to enhance her riding skills on larger displacement machines with Evolve GT Track Days, an organization known for its professional, fun, well-organized, and safe atmosphere. She obtained her motorcycle racing license in 2017 at the age of 13 and started racing a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250 with MotoGladiator Racing.
In the middle of the 2018 season, Mikayla transitioned to a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 300. She also received professional dirt bike training through Danny Walker's American Supercamp, which helped her progress from a beginner to an expert. In 2020, she competed in the Championship Cup Series (CCS) season as an expert, surpassing her goal of completing a full racing season.
Currently, Mikayla rides a 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 400 and a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6-R, focusing on improving her skills and refining her track appearance. She also coaches with Evolve GT Track Days, where she originally received professional road racing training. Mikayla actively promotes motorcycle riding, racing, and safety in her community by participating in annual motorcycle safety days at Joint Base Andrews, where she performs advanced skills and riding demonstrations.
Now that Mikayla has completed the BTR program, she is enthusiastic about the opportunity to showcase her remarkable talents in the fiercely competitive setting of the Twins Cup and potentially in the Super Hooligans class.
